Our data analytics workshop offers an introduction to the world of data through relatable and engaging examples, stories and case studies. It focuses on practical application, equipping participants with the techniques and tools needed to effectively use data analytics at the workplace.

A 2-day, interactive course, Analytics for Non-analytics Professionals includes activities, practice exercises and brainstorming sessions. Day 1 features a hands-on session on how to use tables in Excel to analyze large datasets quickly. Day 2 focuses on understanding and applying regression, a popular and versatile predictive analytics technique.

On successful completion of the course and the final assessment, participants receive a Certificate of Completion, and the eligible sponsoring company will receive a Training Allowance Grant (SGD 10/hour, per participant).

Analytics for Non-analytics Professionals is an IBF accredited data analytics course. It qualifies for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS funding), subject to participants meeting all eligibility criteria.

Who is eligible for funding?

  1. Individuals
    Those who aren’t sponsored by a company, but are Singapore citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singapore who are employed in the banking and finance industry. Here, employers refer to financial institutions regulated by MAS (either licensed or exempted from licensing) and FinTech companies registered with Singapore FinTech Association.
  1. Company-sponsored individuals
    Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents, physically based in Singapore, can be company-sponsored participants. Here, company sponsors refers to financial institutions regulated by MAS (either licensed or exempted from licensing) and FinTech companies registered with Singapore FinTech Association.

Analytics for Non-analytics Professionals is an IBF-accredited data analytics course. Individual participants who are Singapore citizens or PRs are eligible for up to 90% subsidy under the IBF Standards Training Scheme. Singapore citizens can pay the net fee via SkillsFutureCredit (SFC).

Company sponsorship

You can also ask the company you work for to sponsor you for this course. Eligible companies will, in addition to the 90% subsidy, receive a Training Allowance Grant up to SGD 10 per hour.
